Hi! I'm Abby, a mom of four, and self taught artist. I focus mainly in light filled acrylics, but will throw some mixed media in on occasion.

I paint to capture the rare moments that I sneak away and do something just for me. In a life full of thinking of others, these pieces are a reminder that you can do the same -- to pick art that sparks joy, solely for you. Made for lived-in spaces, these paintings are meant to be enjoyed everyday, adding warmth, joy, and a touch of you.

Abstract art works because it doesn’t tell you what to see—it lets you feel it. Your brain naturally finds patterns in color, shape, and movement, so it keeps your eye engaged without needing a clear subject.

In a traditional home, everything is already structured and classic. Abstract art adds a little looseness. It breaks up the formality, pulls colors together, and gives the room a focal point that feels current without clashing.

It’s the balance: timeless bones, with something unexpected layered in.

+ it’s the kind of perfect addition you can’t quite explain

maybe it’s a set of four hung in a gilded frame, a single piece leaned on a shelf, or a pair stacked over a nightstand.

made to layer into a home, not take it over. sized for shelves, livingroom stacks, and those little in-between spaces that need a pick me up

me to me, after absorbing an entire corner of the living-room with all these paintings…

this palette pulls from the kinds of colors that don’t stay new—
porch ceilings, painted wood, worn textiles, and colors that don’t have to match to look perfect.

for homes that aren’t trying to be impressive, just unmistakably lived in. rooms with inherited chairs, matchbox cars, mismatched throw pillows, and one too many colors and patterns that somehow totally work. it’s home.

I prefer to work small—pieces that feel intimate, detailed, and layered. Plus fun, a little funky, and full of character.

BUT small doesn’t mean they should disappear on a wall.
when a small piece is matted and framed, when looking from across the room, it reads as part of a larger, layered composition.

its the same principle you see in collected homes:
nothing feels dropped in. everything is scaled, spaced, and considered.

plus, to get that layered look with personality you have to embrace color—soft greens, coastal blues, patterns layered over time, pieces that feel gathered rather than matched. seriously, no matching!

small-scale work, when it’s framed and placed intentionally, holds its own. it adds a quieter kind of richness— that loved and lived in look we’re all craving.
